I was tagged by Doggy Mama, and I can’t say no to her, she’s too cool. However if you say no to me, I already know that I’m not cool. And that’s okay.

What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was attending photography school in Seattle. I was driving a yellow Cadillac De Ville 22 miles into the city everyday. I was trying to pimp my ride with some hydraulics, but because photo school was so expensive, I could barely afford gas for my car. I took to selling canned goods BACK to grocery stores, so I could make it home at the end of the day. I took the canned goods from a friends house. He was still living with his mom so I felt they could go without. I never did get those hydraulics. Ahhh, the regrets.
What were you doing 1 year ago?
Interesting you should ask. One year ago this month we decided in one night to sell our Southern California townhome and move Northward. We ended up moving in with the parent-in-laws for the summer because I didn’t think I was capable of keeping my townhouse “sell ready” with three little kids. I was probably wise. But it was the best and worst summer of my life.
Five snacks you enjoy:
- Swedish Fish
- Dried Mangos
- Cereal of almost any kind
- Chocolate milk
- Assorted nuts
Five songs that you know all the lyrics:
- “Just like Heaven”~The Cure
- “Here’s the Mail”~Steve and Blue in Blue’s Clues
- “Do your feet hurt”~MxPx
- “Surf Wax America”~Weezer
- “Clarity”~John Mayer
Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
- Buy enough property to have a farm and a compound for my family. All of them.
- Buy an island with a good surf break for Hubby and friends (maybe I need billions?)
- Definitely the chef and a house keeper. More time with family, less stress.
- Buy my kind of minivan, a chromed out, VW bus, with surf curtains over the windows
- Start my own dance studio
Five bad habits: It’s going to be hard to narrow these down…
- Procrastination. If you read my “run ins” with the law, you’d understand this is a huge fault. But this covers everything from leaving dishes in the sink because I swear I’ll “do it tomorrow.” To neatly folded piles of laundry all over my bedroom floor. And getting my son ready for school. I need to break this habit.
- I eat junk food like I should healthy food, and healthy food like I should junk food. But if I were in Weight Watchers, maybe the points would cancel each-other out?
- Letting my kids watch T.V. when I’m trying to get something done.
- Going to bed late. Night after night, no matter how much it kills me in the morning.
- Shamelessly throwing myself at my husband.
Five things you like doing:
- I enjoy working out. I don’t obsess over it. But I like to work up a good sweat. It makes me feel powerful.
- Reading and going to my book club.
- Any beach activities.
- Hanging out with “my gals.”
- Watching my husband play with the kids. It’s the best for a smile.
Five things you would never wear again:
- shoulder pads
- floral patterned anything
- my belly button ring
- a bikini (in public)
- my leather pants (but I’ll save them for the next generation)
Five favorite toys:
- my ipod
- my phone (sister gave me her hand-me-down and it rocks!)
- our Xbox
- a snow board
- my long board ( but only on flat surfaces!)
Awesome, thanks for playing!
I go to bed late too. No matter what. It’s an awful habit.
Help! Do I repost this as a blog on my site?
Mmmmm, Swedish Fish. I made the mistake of buying the big bag at Costco. I think they only lasted a couple of days. I’m not the only one in the house that loves them. Those are such a childhood memory. I used to walk 1/2 mile nearly every day with my best friend to buy swedish fish for a penny each. Only 8 cents to your name? Nooo problem!
It’s too bad Xzibit wasn’t around 10 years ago to help you pimp your ride back then!
I love to work up a good sweat while exercising, too!
And from the pictures I’ve seen of you, you’d look GREAT in a bikini.
Oh, and you think I’m cool!?
Same goes for you!
I enjoyed reading your answers!
I was a major fashion victim in the ’80s with the shoulder pads. Now I look back at pictures during that time and wonder why I found it necessary to look like a linebacker!
Definitely save your leather pants for your daughter… there are so many clothes that I wore in the ’70s that my daughters would LOVE to wear now. I wish I had kept them!

So the floral-patterend leather pants with the shoulder pads that I got for your birthday are right out? That’s rich!
